Mercedes-Benz owners will get a special view of the action at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, in the 20th year of the iconic event.
A unique Keyholder’s Club has been created for the 11-14 July celebration, a private, enclosed viewing platform with light refreshments for Mercedes-Benz owners and their guests.
Entry to the area, on the Mercedes-Benz stand and overlooking the first corner of Goodwood Hill, is simple: just produce your Mercedes-Benz key, whether it’s a new or classic vehicle, van or truck. smart owners are also included.
Mercedes-Benz cars will star at the event. British Grand Prix winner Nico Rosberg will demonstrate a MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One car, joined on track by team-mate Lewis Hamilton and motorsport legends including Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss and Jochen Mass.
The modern Silver Arrow will be accompanied by legendary Mercedes-Benz race cars, such as the 1910 Prinz Heinrich, W 154, W 196, 300 SLR ‘Ulhenhaut’ and a 300 SLR race car.
A host of current Mercedes-Benz vehicles will also feature in the manufacturer’s marquee, near the Goodwood Grandstand.
The new S-Class, the most-advanced Mercedes-Benz ever produced, will appear ahead of its arrival in UK showrooms, along with the new AMG A 45, E 63 AMG, SLS AMG Black Series and the record-breaking SLS AMG Electric Drive.
The sole original post-war Silver Arrow in private ownership, a Mercedes-Benz Type W 196 R Grand Prix racing car will also be auctioned by Bonhams on 12 July. Click here for the full story.
