Top Gear magazine launched back in 1993 and, to celebrate its 20th birthday, they have compiled a list of their top 50 greatest cars from the past 20 years.
Notorious for preferring high end sports cars and the best super cars money can buy, it’s unsurprising that the Bugatti Veyron has been given the top spot. However, there are also a good bunch of hatchbacks and everyday cars thrown into the mix so not to leave us all sitting and wishing for that lottery win!
The 2005 Mercedes-Benz S-Class made the list in 26th place along with the 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK Black in 38th place, beating off the likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo and the BMW X5.
While the majority of the top 10 is made up of sports cars, including the Ferrari 458, Porsche 911 and the Lexus LFA, the humble VW Golf GTI was the runner-up in second place.
The list, compiled by those at Top Gear HQ along with over 100,000 online votes, helped crown the ultimate winner, but will the Veyron be a favourite in years to come as cars are continually changing and evolving?
Everyone has their favourite cars and one thing is for sure, Top Gear is never afraid of sharing their opinion! But do you think they’ve missed off any important cars or, more importantly, your favourite?
