Stay Safe

As nights draw in and conditions worsen it’s normal to think more about safety and how you and your car can help predict, avoid and minimise accidents.

That’s why we like to pack our cars full of safety features to give you peace of mind. Our A-Class is no different, achieving a 5-Star NCAP rating for safety.

Not only does the A-Class have excellent protection should the worst happen, but it is also equipped with preventative features like Adaptive Brake Assist which uses RADAR to help you brake more effectively, no matter what the driving conditions.

How Does ABA Work?

Two radar systems scan the long range and short range traffic in front of the car and can help pre-empt accidents by reacting faster than even the quickest human reflexes.

To make sure those around you stay safe too, the system automatically flashes the rear brake lights, so people following can see there’s an emergency and can proceed with caution.

Accidents Happen

Sometimes accidents do happen, but with nine airbags in the cabin, we make sure that even if the unthinkable happens the driver and passengers are as secure and protected as possible. There’s even a system that helps the bonnet protect pedestrians in case of an accident.

So as we welcome wintery driving conditions, you can feel confident that our dependable A-Class is looking out for you!

See it for yourself and take a test drive at your local Mercedes-Benz dealership.
