We’re only a few days into the New Year, but the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has started in style.

Automotive website CarBuyer announced the new S-Class as the winner of the Luxury Car of the Year, as part of its annual Car of the Year awards.

The S-Class has pioneered new technology for generations and the new model is continuing to set standards in safety and efficiency, while also improving driver comfort with features including seats capable of mimicking a hot stone massage.
With Magic Body Control technology that reads the road ahead and adapts accordingly, and a choice of seven soothing, LED-powered ambient light colours, it’s the ultimate in driver and passenger luxury.

After its arrival in late 2013, the S-range will grow, with the addition of two new hybrids in 2014 and 2015; the S 300 BlueTEC HYBRID and the S 500 Plug-in HYBRID, which achieves the equivalent of 94.2mpg.
