The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class claimed the prestigious ‘Luxury Car of the Year’ award. Magic Body Control technology and stereo cameras that changes the suspension according to the road conditions work together for the smoothest and most luxurious driving experience.
The judges explained that no other car came close to challenging for the title: “There is no other luxury car half as deserving of the tag. It is the pinnacle of technical achievement and technological advancement. Everything is configurable, adjustable or tweakable: the luxury of choice.”
The second Mercedes-Benz award was ‘Lairy Car of the Year’ for the SLS AMG Coupé Black Series. With acceleration from 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds, and a top speed limited to 195mph, it makes a big impression.
The panel claimed that SLS AMG isn’t as intimidating as its snarling exterior appears: “It looks like it wants to bite your leg off, but actually it bear hugs you and covers your back like a best mate. It is lairy but not scary.”
Two very different awards, two outstanding cars in performance and innovation.
