New A-Class from Mercedes-Benz

The spectacular new A-Class from Mercedes-Benz has finally been revealed, following its exclusive unveiling at the Geneva Motor show. The car is making its much anticipated UK debut at the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.

A complete departure from the previous A-Class, the new model has captured the public’s mind and imagination. The cars aggressive stance is enhanced by its large expressive shoulders, low roofline and beautifully formed wheelarch’s. A free formed body shape uses crisp dynamic lines, plus a mixture of positive and negative surfaces.

Mercedes great attention to detail can be seen through the A-Classes eye catching wide grille, which dominates the front of the car. It uses inverted mesh to create a modern jewelry effect and the defined LED headlights contain 90 optical fibers.

Inside the car a beautifully illuminated dashboard is complemented by jet style air vents and a large multimedia console. An iPad like, digital display allows passengers to share on the move, using Facebook, Twitter and other innovative apps. The use of cutting edge technology is also used externally on the car, with an intelligent assisted braking feature and radar-based collision warning system.

The diesel range of this particular A-class will be the first ever Mercedes to emit less than 100g/km of CO2. Petrol models include a 1.6-litre turbo and the mind-blowing 2.0-litre turbo, which pushes out a staggering 208bhp. Prices are yet to be confirmed for this much anticipated car; however prices are expected to start at £20,000.
