The new star in the Mercedes-Benz line-up is the A 45 AMG

The new A 45 AMG will be making a debut on UK roads this summer, ushering in a new era for the Mercedes-AMG range.

As the Head of Overall Vehicle Development for the manufacturer, Tobias Moers explains: “With the new A 45 AMG, we have well and truly achieved our aim of developing the most dynamic, powerful and efficient four-cylinder series production car.” This attitude has resulted in a stunner of a sports car that flies around corners and seems to eat up the road ahead of it.

The model is a new generation for a new generation – the target audience for the A 45 AMG is a little younger than the typical Mercedes-Benz owner. This shouldn’t stop drivers from choosing the car, as it demonstrates a fresh and more confident style as a result.

Mercedes-Benz has equipped the car with the most powerful series production turbo engine in the world. The four-cylinder 2.0-litre delivers a breathtaking 360bhp, encapsulating ‘Driving Performance’ in the new compact vehicle. Running in AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive, it makes the climb to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds.

AMG models are known for their sporty appearance and dominating road performance – yet the new engine also steals the show on efficiency. Not only does it give up to 40.9mpg combined, it also meets Euro 6 standards for low CO2 emissions before the regulation’s even been introduced.

With an optional AMG Performance sports exhaust, the engine’s throaty roar is audibly enhanced, generating even more envy in other road users. The exclusive AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed gearbox makes shifts up or down lightning quick.

We offer a selection of roaring Mercedes-AMG models at our Mercedes-Benz Retail Group dealerships.
