A vehicle designed for you and your needs

Commercial vehicles are used for a variety of purposes, and so it is essential that your commercial vehicle properly suits your needs. That’s why Mercedes has designed the Sprinter to offer a variety of combinations and features, to let you personalize the vehicle for your specific needs.

The versatile Mercedes Sprinter is available in 240 possible combinations and with an incredible 600 items of special equipment. Four different body styles allow you to have the perfect commercial vehicle. First is the Sprinter Panel Van, which comes with a choice of three different load heights and a spacious interior, or for something a little larger, you can chose the Traveliner with three lengths and tremendous ease of loading. The other two options for body style are the Chassis Cab – a robust vehicle with a gross weight capacity from three to five tonnes and extensive safety equipment – and finally the Dropside with a payload from 870 to 2,530kg and a large load area. From simply the choice in body styles, it is clear that the Mercedes Sprinter is flexible, practical and allows you to customise your vehicle around your own needs.

Standard across all styles in the vehicle’s cabin are the logically placed controls on the dashboard, so that the driver is able to easily access everything required. The sitting position is designed in order to prevent fatigue, which is perfect for long journeys, and Climate Control is included so that the driver is able to create the perfect atmosphere for the journey.

Each engine in the comprehensive range is incredibly efficient and economical. From the advanced four-cylinder CDI engine OM 651, to the powerful V6 CDI diesel engine OM 642, the engines all boast power alongside low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. As standard, the Sprinter comes equipped with a manual six-speed transmission system which provides a smooth and effortless drive, and 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission is available with CDI engines. The rear wheel drive of the vehicle creates a responsive and controlled drive wherever you are and whatever your load.

Optional bi-Xenon headlights mean that – however uneven and winding – the road will be well illuminated, making it easier and safer to tackle the turns on difficult roads. Wide-angle mirrors make it easier to reverse into tighter spots, whilst the protective airbags increase the personal security of all on board. The Sprinter comes with ADAPTIVE ESP®, a driving dynamics system which, for the first time, takes the load situation of the vehicle into account, to ensure a safe and secure drive. The partition walls in different versions of the Sprinter also work to protect the driver and co-driver from any dangerous loads.

Ultimately, the Mercedes Sprinter provides you with the freedom to design a commercial vehicle and adapt the features to your own personal requirements. The safety and security of the load and driver are ensured throughout all models and combinations, whilst the unique design and optional features allow you to enhance the vehicle to your own specifications – http://blog.mercedes-benzretailgroup.co.ukmercedes-benz-vans/range/sprinter-panel-van
