Mercedes-Benz C-Class with CarPlay

The Geneva Motor Show provided the perfect opportunity for the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class to demonstrate the model’s latest innovations, including Apple’s automotive infotainment system, called CarPlay.

Smartphones have become an indispensable part of everyday life and CarPlay provides a smarter, safer way for you to use your iPhone while driving. By deploying a Lightning connection that installs the screen of your iPhone® directly onto the in-built display of the new C-Class, CarPlay allows you to stay connected, make calls, send and receive messages or listen to music while staying focused on the road.

With this innovation, Mercedes-Benz continues to be at the forefront of an integrative combination of smartphone and automotive design. “Two years ago we set a new trend with the integration of the smartphone into our vehicles,” said Prof Dr Thomas Weber, responsible for Group Research at Mercedes-Benz Cars Development. We are constantly developing the connected car with the latest technologies available, so that every Mercedes-Benz driver can use their smartphone in the car in full comfort and safety.”
